    Book Recommendation Needed

I need a recommendation. I want a book to help me with Hi Opt II. I have Humble's book, "The Worlds Greatest Blackjack Book". However that book focus is on Hi Opt I and I'm ready to jump to Hi Opt II. I'm most interested in the indices.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, FerrisB.

Play Blackjack Like the Pros by Kevin Blackwood. It has a table of compromise indices for Hi Opt II. Into blocks of 0, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20.

I have found some indices for Hi Opt II but I believe that are for a 6 deck game. For example dealer shows 8, you hold a hard 14. The index says to hit < 30. I primarily play SD and DD. I can't imagine either game getting to 30 count.

Blackwoods published indices are "compromised" so they can be used for any rules and any number of decks.

If all you've read is Worlds Greatest Blackjack Book I suggest also reading Blackbelt in Blackjack by Arnold Snyder or the Free Blackjack book on this site written by Norm.

Depending on the penetration, the single or double deck games are MORE likely to reach a 30 TC with Hi Opt II, than the 6 deck game.

Thanks for the advice. Penetration is about 75%.

TC 30 is also substantially more likely with HiOptII than with a level 1 count.
"One of these days in your travels, you are going to come across a guy with a nice brand new deck of cards, and this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the Jack of Spades jump out of the deck and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not take this bet, for if you do, as sure as you are standing there, you are going to end up with an ear full of cider."

Casino Verite has all the Hi-Opt II indices, with Humble's permission.

These are the games you are most likely to see such TCs. RC 15 with half deck left is not very unusual.

The only place you can learn authentically how to use the HI-OPT II count is "HI-OPT II Strategy" handbook by Lance Humble and Julian Braun. It is way out of print.
