The casino have an habit nowadays to check for ID often when playing in casino. How do I legally get over that and get another identification. I don't want them to know my real name when I play.
You cannot legally obtain a fake governmental identification. You could change your name to get a new ID, but that would not do you much good since you would be giving them the correct information. If they accept a non-government issued ID, you can present that to them...borrow someone's credit card or something. But that is about it. You do not have to show your ID if you look above a certain age, and they have no reason to insist on showing them. They do not have to let you remain on the floor either.
"One of these days in your travels, you are going to come across a guy with a nice brand new deck of cards, and this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the Jack of Spades jump out of the deck and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not take this bet, for if you do, as sure as you are standing there, you are going to end up with an ear full of cider."
Walk to and from the casino, don't give them your name, don't take high denomination chips, don't cashout more than a small amount, cash out on a separate day, not the day or shift you play on,
Still, enterprising creative casinos have a tendency to find out who you are if they want to bad enough
1. When you cash out a large amount of chips they have the power to demand ID to comply with federal law
2. When you cash out for less right after you play they have serious leverage at the cage against you once you give them your chips. They could simply demand ID and refuse to give you your chips back until you comply
3. When you sign up for a players card they get your name
4. When you arrive or depart from the casino they get your license plate and can get a police friend to tell them to whom the car is registered
5. They have memberships in national database programs and can run your photograph using facial recognition software to see if it spots you. They can also just enter keywords to reduce their database to 50 pictures and then just look thru them manually until they find you
6. Even without FRS, the casino has lots of employees who might otherwise be morons but who have an ability to recognize faces and remember names.
Fake ID's that look real enough to fool a casino (i.e., mimic a state issued ID) are illegal in all 50 states. Don't get caught in the casino with one, but playing under a phony name is quite legal (although tribal casinos have a tendency to equate violation of players club rules with a violation of their tribal laws, so tread carefully in Native American casinos).
