    Dealer Antics

On a recent outing I experienced the following from two different dealers (same location).

When the count was in my favor I would let my bet ride. This was a single deck game. At the end of the deck my bet would be 8x my initial one unit bet. What was interesting was the dealer would wait for me to place my bet. If my bet was large (8x or more), she would immediately reshuffle. I never saw any interaction between her and the pit boss but without any direction from management I can't understand why she would reshuffle. No one ever approached me regarding my game and playing tactics.

    Thoughts?

Yes I do tip. If I'm winning I will usually place a $5 bet (I'm playing $5 tables) for the dealer every other shuffle, give or take.

When the dealer shuffles up like that, do you risk exposing yourself (assuming no one is already on to you) and reduce your bet or take the hit and leave the bet out for the new shuffle?

1 to 8 is pretty aggressive for SD.
