    Backed Off...Hard

So I'm using Hi-Lo/Hi-Opt 1 at the store. And this floor guy has been on me lately. Takes me aside and says that I am using chips as a device and I could be arrested, so I need to stop moving my chips when the Aces and 10s come out. This is total BS, I know, because they may as well arrest me for using my brain as a device. Anyway, I say sure I won't move my chips. Obviously 2 things...No, I am not moving my chips when 10s come out (yes on the aces), and yes, I'm way too obvious, I am WELL aware of that. So I go back my seat and use hi-lo, no chips flying around. And I am guessing that this confused the moron floor person; I am guessing that he thought I needed chips to count cards. So not much time goes by and the shfit manager comes, at the behest of the whiny floor person, who has it out for me (not paranoid--I've gotten heat from him before, and in return, I've filled out comment cards about him, commenting on his wife, which he subtely brought up later--so we are at each other...and I know, not a good idea, don't want or need advice on this, just want to give you a little context). Shift manager asks to speak with me after the hand is over. He tells me that I know what you're doing (never mentions exactly what we're talking about), and no more doing it on his shift or I will get kicked out.Now the kicker is I have exposed as an advantage player previously. This shift manager knew before today. This is my first back off. Nothing out of the ordinary regarding my bet spread or anything like that. What I'd like is some general advice. I am thinking maybe I can go back on that shift and completely avoid this floorperson, the 'rat', and perhaps the shift manager will continue turning a blind eye. Or maybe appear on his shift but make sure not to use hi-opt 1/hi-lo until I can master doing it without any crutches like chips--but still count and spread, and not have to worry. Or is it absolutely necessary that I completely avoid the shift manager? I am friends with a dealer. He says the issue is the obviousness, it cant go unchecked. And when a prissy floor guy calls to complain about it, he's gonna take action. I would like to open up the floor to those with experience, rather than opinion and casual observation like this dealer has. Please, what do you think?

That's the problem with playing with an advantage .You feel angry ,I can understand that . Stay away for awhile and come back playing better and hit them harder next time .If you are playing shoes why bother with hi opt1 , If you are playing pitch ,just use hi lo and sc aces with alphabets or use other body parts.it 's a bad feeling when you get BO.

Spend a few hours a night practicing your count + side count with a sim like this one: http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bst/

Blast some loud music (you want WITH lyrics to distract you), and get to where you can count without thinking.

This was my method of training and my first time on the floor wasn't bad at all. No need for tracking with chips.

lol, you were just like me first backoff, stubborn and arguing, i even was a smartass to the pit boss, and told him ill keep playing and went back to my seat, and at the time it angers us and i understand, but after time you'll regret making such an act. Next time just leave without a word, and dont return to that shift for a while, The quieter you leave the less they remember you, dont be THAT guy where it sticks in their mind

Rain, I knew something was going on with you by the tone of your posts with me on Players Card, Id, etc.

I think now I have heard everything, and this is a lesson to those trying an "advanced" count on shoe games when you are not polished,, if you are writting about playing a DD you really are challenged

You are finished at that casino, unless it is on the Rez, way in the stick, and you are a Tribal member, if that is not the case,,,well, you get the picture, and I am sure they already have yours.

    Using chips,,,,holy sh#t

    Best,

Absolutely agree with Zen and Ouchez, Rainmaker.

Unless there's no other store near enough to you, for you to play somewhere else entirely, just give this place the pass for at least a couple months

You want them to FORGET about you, you do NOT want to "win" this "argument" with them (hint: you can't win)

IF there's nowhere else to play and you can't totally avoid going there for a while, well, okay... try still going there but STAY THE HELL AWAY from these guys who have it in for you!!!

Ya might wanna also learn Video Poker or something like that too, or something advanced "beyond counting" AP on a carnival game maybe, something else besides blackjack that's playable with +EV, to repair your "just another dumb gambler" image in their eyes, and in the computer's assessment of your "value as a customer" there... before giving 'em any more rope to hang you with.

    Just my .02... FWIW

Take the hint and stay away from that pit critter and Shift Manager. I would avoid that casino for several months, and avoid that shift like the plague when you go back there. It's serious business when the Shift Manager gets involved.

Why not continue doing what you were doing, moving chips when aces came out, to see if you could get falsely arrested?

I didn't argue, i did what they said. That guy was a dick b4, he gets it back. I never protest an actual decision. But yeah, you are right, I do not want to stick out in their mind and I do.

It's shoe, they just have 6:5 single deck. I shouldn't really bother w/hi-opt 1, but it does enhance the count a bit...and I have been getting away with it, but not anymore. I guess I'm asking if anyone thinks if I go back to normal will they leave me alone or no?

I havent practiced in so long, not much time. I usually spend that time shuffle tracking, which I cant do. Seems like thats better time spent than learning to do an advanced count. The chips work fine for doing it, except for obviously blowing my cover. The alternative is to not use it. Point taken though yeah...I gotta not do it with chips period.
