It looks hopeless. If you could guarantee being the player dealer you might have a shot using a reverse bet spread thereby making everyone else bet small when the count is high and allowing them the option to bet big when the count is in the tank. I seems like a waste of time to me. Collection fee equals 6:5 ante blackjack? EEEKS.

I wonder if there's any way to run a sim for this. I just have this feeling that there's a way to beat this game, especially since the house has really no interest on who comes out on top.

Play with a 1-15 unit spread, play as normal except when you are the dealer put out 1 unit when count is high, and 15 when the count is low.

EDIT: I use Kiss III. Brand new at AP here so I just follow the index and keep to the betting ramp advised for my low BR and am interested in this new game.

How do you spread in this game? Your max bet is set by the banker for each hand. The banker can suggest or limit others bets but the player must bet less than the banker. There is no spread.

Did I get something wrong when I skimmed the rules?

If the dealer 's wager is exhausted you just get your bet back if it didn't already lose.

Round of play #13: ... Once the player-dealers wager has been exhausted, the wagers not covered by the player-dealer shall be returned to the respective players.

If you lose as soon as you bust you better not bust in this game since there is a chance a win might not get paid. The hole card determines who gets paid first. Hole carding would have extra value here. Unfortunately you have already wagered when the dealer takes his hole card.

the reason is some of the these California card rooms have weird rules. There was one I played at if you broke, then the dealer broke and he broke with a 3 card 26 (don't really remember if it was 3 card break 26 or a 26 in general) , Ie. 10 up 6 in hole hit card 10 for a total of 26 , then you pushed and you did not loose your bet.

if the dealer didn't not take your busted hand's bet immediately it was prob some version of this rule

This one the push is a dealer 888 for 24. Not real likely.

It's just too wacky for a beginner like me I guess. Greener grass around anyways.
