I started a shoe and had lost almost $3K by the middle of the shoe and by the end of the shoe was ahead about $3500 betting 2x$200 as my max bet. I was playing heads up and got a lot of hands that split and doubled to many hands for better or worse. The last one I had split to 4 hands with 2 doubles on the first with sevens. There was a huge surplus of sevens. I split to 4 hands and doubled 2 of them with the best of the lot was catching and ace and then face on the double for 18. the rest were stiffs one of which was another 7 on the last split. I couldn't split again. I felt good splitting 88 on my other spot against the dealer 7. I doubled both hands after catching a 2 on the first and a 3 on the second. I end with 2 more stiffs. The dealer flips a 2 for 9 another 2 for 11 and a 4 for 15 and busts with another 7. I was like where are all the T's for this high count. That was $2000 on one hand. I knew there were a boatload of excess 7 and a lot of excess aces and a really high ace neutral HIOPT II main count. The cut card came out on the next round but the cards I had been waiting for showed and I picked up 2 BJ's. After picking up the bulk of my win in the last 2 rounds and the bulk of my loss in a few similar split and double rounds similar to that but that went the other way the part in between was the normal high count grind of gradual progress.

That shoe had the wildest swings for me.

$6.000 in one deck. Max bet $600 so it was only 10 max bets. But still, my largest loss in 1 deck

17,3 max bets in one session. It was the only time I broke my rule about keep playing in a session after losing 12 max bets

Earlier this year when 90% of my br was tied up in the markets, I lost 16k of my temporary br of 50k lent to me by my father, the next day I get 19k back in 17 min. So 34k goes to 53k, not a bad percentage, but a high ror. Luckily i never needed the other 90%, and the 90% doubled in the market, so I was happy, and my father got a nice slice of the action.
