I should explain better. When I meant camo play ,I meant playing with an intention to disguise your skill.

The question kind of puts me in a tough spot. I certainly can not give them the correct answer. I say something about it being a close call and how much I hate getting 12s in the first place.
Actually 12 v 6 does not have the same index. You should be hitting 12 v 4 at any negative running count.

I doubled A9 vs 5 the other day and caught the Ace. Not a peep from anyone. The biggest heat getting hand is taking insurance with a big bet on a stiff hand and the dealer has it. I have a friend who splits 10-10 with $800 or $1000 on the table vs 4-5-6 and gets away with it due to his act and relatively narrow spread due to back counting and entering shoes at a +3 true count.

Index plays with min bets on the table do not generate heat. Offensive index plays that are not even close to being basic strategy with big bets on the table and winning those bets is what gets the casino's attention. You get more attention from the eye buying in for $2000 than for hitting 12 vs 4 or soft 18 vs 9 or 10.

Yep. Big buy-ins, large bets, large spreads, large wins; these all bring a lot more heat than hitting 12 v. 4 with $10 out.
