They aren’t baby sitters (thankfully), and unless you want the authorities watching your every move, they aren’t going to be able to make life pain-free. And you certainly can’t blame authorities if you don’t report the crime, putting others in danger of the same situation.

I’m certainly not blaming the victim either. He just partook in pleasures that cost him more than he expected. Life is a high-variance game. Hope he wins back twice as much.
    Norm,

I understand your point and agree, except you totally missed the point I was trying to make, maybe my fault, trying not to give too much away to protect "Marco". I was writting of after the fact reactions, or lack thereof, by certain people, groups.

    Rich,

Who among us is without fault, if the truth be known, especially among the veterans??? For sure not I!

I do have one question about this thread?
A Member Math Demon Posted a question I saw before it was edited.
He was asking a simple question about self protection.
He did not mention anything about guns or anything political.
Yet it was edited for political reasons.
The original post is full of guns, hookers, race related issues and what not.
    But was not edited.

Originally I said "B#o's", Norm changed that to "Guys". I did not say she was an out and out "hooker", saying so would be innacurate.

Sorry about your friend Ouchez, best of luck restoring what was stolen/robbed.

Hopefully, we can all learn to be as careful as we can in casino environments. They are certainly ripe for criminal elements and unfortunately I think these incidents will increase as the economy continues to flounder.

Anything can happen: drugged drinks; set-ups with women; parking garage robbery; bathroom robbery, etc...

Two women were robbed at Maryland Live last weekend at knife point. One in an elevator and one in the garage. They did apprehend a suspect, but that is little comfort to the situation as it happened.

    I am one of those (dumb-ass) trick-rolled A.P.'s taken

for a mid-5 figure sum, costing me my year's earnings.

I have always been overly trusting, especially when the woman

involved carefully avoids propositioning me, in any fashion,

including anything resembling a classic hooker's proposition.

I am a very "slow learner" in some areas ! Rather absurd actually.

I'm so sorry to hear that, ZenMaster_Flash!

I, myself, don't have that problem. My wife and girlfriend always keep their eagle eyes on me.

Oh, THEY do much more than that! I really can't complain. You might say it's a collaborative effort!

My late grandfather who worked for Bugsy Siegal (true) at the Pink Flamingo back in his day as a bodyguard told me a crude but probably truthful bit of advice after I grew up. He said Alex (not my real name)... Do you know what the most dangerous weapon in the world is? And I said no. What is it? And he replied to me. "A woman's p***y." I don't bring this up too often and don't mean to offend anyone reading it if it does.

I uploaded a pic of my grandpa. He is the guy with the glasses on in the pic. Alex "Mousey" Ostrowsky. A REAL character.
