I just bought CVCX and thought that would be able to create indices. I guess I should have read more careful. Anyway can the free version of CVData create indices?
think you'll have to buy it, but if your serious at all about card counting, i strongly suggest you do. aside from simply creating the indexes, it shows the EV of the play at +10 and -10 incrementally of the index point, allowing you to see just how profitable or unprofitable each decision is at which point and then design your own risk averse indexes at your discretion based on your bankroll as it fluctuates up or down. another thing i found was that most index sets are based on flooring the true count, and i use rounding when i count at a table, so the indexes and my play didn't match up. also i just bought CVblackjack to practice my new counting system and it's pretty amazing. every drill u can think of to work on every aspect of your game. i figure i'm really taking this seriously and plan on this being my career, so why not make an investment in my future where $150 per program is almost nothing compared to my eventual yearly salary.
The CVDATA demo fudges numbers so, while it can be used to "create" indices, they will not be correct. You can test the functionality of the software, but you can't rely on the results because they are intentionally fudged (I believe). Either way both CVData and CVCX are worth buying.
