CVData question: backing up archived sims

Is there any way to back up the many archived sims I have? I am getting a new laptop and want to transfer all my old sims to the new machine. Thanks in advance!

If you have Vista, Win7 or Win8, you can copy c:\ProgramData\qfit\cvdata. (NOT Program Files), Under WinXP, it's more difficult.

Don't get suckered into Windows 8! Heard nothing but bad news bears from it..

Only every other Windows release is useable. Win98 yes, WinME no, WinXP yes, Vista no, Win7 yes, Win8 no.
