    Praying Mantis: More Clarification Please

Where do these spread figures come to play? At what point in the game?

You give pen levels for the 6 deck game, so, at what point do they take hold? Is it at the pen level, itself? If so, I assume the numbers will be different if we enter the game at a positive count BEFORE the cutcard, correct? Again, I am assuming these numbers are MAX SCOREs at the maximum point of the game?

Sorry for my ignorance, but not quite understanding a spread at the cutcard since there will be no more play once we reach that point.

You?ll know the answer to all your questions, reading Don?s introduction to Chapter X from BJA3. I?m assuming you don?t have it. Right? So hurry up! :-)

    Example from Table 10.44: 5.0/6 S17 DAS

Here you have a game where the dealer won?t shuffle until 260 cards are dealt out.

BC Pract. (1-4) goes likes this:

    TC dollars bet

    2 100
    3 100
    4 150
    5 200
    6 200
    7 300
    8 300
    9 or > 400

    The SCORE is here $62.79

Is it at the pen level, itself?

    No, no.

Whenever you reach TC = 2 you bet 1 unit. ($100) This can happens, let?s say with just 52 cards already dealt out and a RC = 10. Thus 10 / 5 = 2 and you will enter the game here.

Hope this clarifies and answers your two other questions, too.

    Sincerely

    Zenfighter

    1. Sign on table: "No mid-shoe entry."

    2. Crowded casino: No empty seats to wong into, leave the table and lose your seat, no seats at other tables.

    3. Small casino: You're playing the only playable table (other tables are 6:5, Superfun 21, etc.).

4.Sweaty casino: Sometimes too much table-hopping will draw heat.

    5. Back-counting is boring. Some people just don't like that style of play.

    6. Hard to earn comps when agressively wonging.
