    Garry Baldy: DEx variance question

    Hello.

Anybody knows the variance in usual Double Exposure game?

Flatbet BS assumed, 6d, h17, d9-11, rs=4, rsa=4, bj1:1, dealer wins ties, no surrender, no insurance.

I don't need exact numbers, rough estimate will do.

    Thanks in advance.

    Luck,

    Garry Baldy.

    Zenfighter: Re: Awful game

6dks, dx, h17, db9, spl/3, rsa, bj 1: 1, dealer wins ties, no surr, no ins.

36 million hands, flat betting 1 unit, 5/6 dealt out.

    Wr = -1.18% (se = 0.02%)

    Sd/100 hands = 12.13

    Sd/hand = 1.213

    Variance = 1.471

Even with a monster spread, the win rate and SCORE?s figures sink.

    Hope this helps

    Best regards

Garry Baldy: Re: Thanks a lot and...

... here is the REAL kicker.

There is some ONLINE casino here wich offer DEx game where dealer do not win ties. It's a tie indeed. You can say that to play online looks dangerous at least.

I agree and I don't wanted to play there but today I met the owner of this casino and without disclosing my gambling activities I said him something like "I don't trust online casinos but I would like to play this game with live cards and live dealer. And you can establish any penetration you want, even to shuffle after each round".

An what do you think?! He said "No problem. How high you want to bet?" I almost felt from the seat. I said that I have no money right now and here but I'm willing to put between $100K ans $1M at risk given that all the rules will stand as said at their website. I propose that we'll chose min-max bet and will play till that million will change the owner.

He was not very surprised but said that he must ask his partners.

So the deal is temporarily delayed. I already have A LINE of the guys who want to invest in my play with them.

    So my questions are:

    - What should I look for?

    - What betting limits do you suggest? I think that $1000 will do (assuming no spread is allowed).

    - What is the REAL advantage? I calculated close to 7%. What is the frequency of ties in DEx game?

    - There was one witness there when I made a proposition. What do you think, will he cancel the deal?

    - By the way, I also found on his site that by their rules player's BJ wins versus dealer's BJ. I still cannot believe in the whole situation.

If until chatting with the Mike Shakleford the deal will not be resolved I would definitely like to hear his opinion :-)

Thank you in advance for any thoughts about this incredibly situation.

    Luck.

    Garry Baldy.

    Exactly, wr = 6.60% (se = 0.02%)

More than this will be a blatant abuse, sure. :-)

There was one witness there when I made a proposition. What do you think, will he cancel the deal?

Of course, yes. Being not too clever and being mental retarded are not exactly the same things.

    What should I look for?

Assuming the improbable event that they will take your action, I would look for a good bodyguard.

    Take care, Garry.

    Sincerely
