In 100 hands, in about any game, your odds of being up are about the same of your odds of being down; anything can happen.

100 hands at a time .. how many times?

Are you playing SD, DD, 6D?
What are the rules, what is the pen?

What is your bankroll, what is your spread?

Are you planning on playing everyhand or only those hands better than say, -2?

The point being; it's not that simple.

If you play 100 hands per hour at decent games with decent pen and you 'do card counting' well ... IMO it would be safe to say that you have ABOUT an 85% chance of being ahead after 500 hours of play.

(You slide rule types .. don't bag on me .. I said 'about.' The guy has paid his money and deserves an answer. No doubt someone here can refine this one for him.)

But khan, when they all get through, I won't be too far off!

See BJA3, Table 2.2, p. 21, last line of the table. Depending on the game, it's closer to 90%.

Maybe it is that simple! Now, if I just had that softcover BJA3 to carry around with me all day ...

    Better odds than what?

The four hands offer no particular advantage, and the 1 to 2 spread is too small. If you are doing this for camouflage, in order to get out 8 units, the problem is that your smallest bet is 4 units, and your spread is too narrow.
