Jean Jacques Robert: Question to Norm & Zenfighter

Is it possible to obtain the numbers for the effect of removal of cards for betting or playing in respect of a given number of decks by using CV Data? In the affirmative, how should this be done?

    Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried it but I think it can be done at least for betting EORs. The following is what I would do:

    1) Set the rules you're interested in.
    2) Use the corresponding BS with Flat Betting.
    3) If you want to reproduce BJA3 EORs you need to play a fixed number of rounds. If not you can play to a desired pen introducing the cut card effect into the EORs. Either way is correct.
    4) Run a huge number of rounds and get the Overall Mean.
    5) Remove a card, for example an Ace and again run a huge number of rounds.
    6) Calculate the EOR(Ace) as Mean(Ace removed)-Mean.
    7) Repeat 5) to 6) for each card denomination.

    Hope this helps.

    Sincerely,
    Cac

Thanks. Of course the number of rounds would have to be ridiculous large for any accuracy.

What do you mean by "ridiculous large number of rounds"?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

No idea. I didn't have creating EORs in mind when designing CVData.

Try to get each EV with an SE less than 0.0001 at least. I think 10000 million rounds for each case would be enough.
