All Star: SSI request
What goes? Got another players card, per Mr. Don's suggestion, at a place I had been backed off at about 2 years ago. New name, id, etc. No problem so far. Was at DD Black and all of a sudden the friendly pit boss leans over and asks me for my SSI number. Had to think quick.
What did he do when he LEFT the pit immediately??
The remainder of the session went uneventful. Please help.

And, you did what? Understand that wanting your SSN is normal if you're playing for high stakes, and they don't have the number on record.

What did you tell him?

That doesn't mean much.

You have to understand that, when you say you got another player's card and ID, there are two ways of doing that. The first is to somehow give false ID, with your picture, that you have obtained under a different name, while the second is to simply use the player's card (no picture) of someone else, who has already established ID and perhaps doesn't use the card anymore.
In the first instance, you need to be very careful NOT to give a fraudulent SSN that would be associated with a REAL name. So, you'd have to explain the circumstances of your new card.
In the second instance, if you're using someone else's card, then you need to make sure to have memorized address, phone number, DOB, and SSN.

The only circumstance you MUST give your SSN at a table game (assuming you bought in with cash, no markers) is if you reach the CTR limit. Correct?

Yes and no. Technically, yes. But, if they ask ahead of reaching the limit, and you refuse to furnish it, then they can cut off your play. And, if they do that, they can do it for ALL of their properties.

Thanks for the quick response and the quesions.
The answers: Fake ID. A good one.
Obtained players card playing roulette and
buying in for 1k. The suits were all over
me to get me rated. Stay 30 minutes playing
2 out of 3 spins and cashed out.
At blackjack the next day, no problem on
the black tables. All this started at
purple.
Used a federal id number the business has
but transposed the first 3 numbers and the
last 2. (spewed this out to the pit guy
in about 1.5 seconds, he seemed impressed).
Pit fellow thanked me and headed out.
Replace by what seemed to be the
current young buck in training.
Stayed another 10 minutes with no
drama from where I was sitting.
The rest of my trip did not take me back
there, and not by design, just didn't land
at that place again.
Safe moves??

Gave the pit guy a reverse variation of a federal id number. Do they check it? Or do they just keep it on file?
