blackjack Ranger: Dead Shoe?
Is there a formula to determine when a shoe is dead? I am not referring to ODP.
When the count is more negative then there are remaining cards is not an answer!
Thanx anyone for your time

Then I'm afraid I don't understand your question.

Maybe you can explain what you mean. No one has ever worded a question that way before, so I have no idea what you're getting at.

In ODP you talk about when to leave a shoe for another one. I guess I am asking for ODP if no other shoe is available. The point of no return for one shoe.

Is there no mid-shoe entry? If you can sit out hands whenever you like and then jump back in the game, then the answer is obvious: Play when you have the edge and sit out when you don't.

Yes. The count is more volatile in DD. So bad counts can restore to good ones more quickly than in shoe games. But, in general, table-hopping DD games is never a very practical thing to attempt.
