Stanford Wong has an excellent book on tournament blackjack. Hollywood Dave Stann has some info in his book, as well, as does Rick "Night Train" Blaine, in "Blackjack Blueprint."

In addition to the books Don mentioned, I would highly recommend How to Win More Blackjack Tournaments by Kenneth Smith (link below). It's not quite as systematic as Wong's book, but it's a good resource nevertheless.

Also, though it contains some entertaining stories, Play to Win by Ken Einiger doesn't offer any especially useful playing advice and, in my humble opinion, isn't worth buying.

Regarding the Hi-Lo count, or any count for that matter, you won't find it to be an important part of tournament play. Winning BJ tournaments is all about game theory and how it affects your bets and playing decisions.

    I hope that helps.

    David
