    john: indexes

    I have heard the term "indexes" but not sure what it means. I'm practicing the hi - lo method if that means anything.

    An index is the count (high-low true count in your case) at which a particular play should be made. For example, if the index for doubling 10 vs. ace is 4, you should double your 10 vs. ace at counts greater than 4 and hit at counts less than 4 (for counts equal to 4, the correct decision is determined by the precise method of rounding you use in play, as well as the method used to generate the numbers). A set of indexes is a table of these values for multiple decisions.
