    All Star: Offers galore!

Visited sin city in early-mid November. Black, up to purple chip player at double deck. Short sessions, in and out. Skip a day per shift then return. Won 5 figures from 2 of the chains on the strip. Would like to return in mid january to same locations. IS THIS TOO EARLY to avoid suspision? Mailbox now filling up with room offers for up to 3 nights. A trap? Please help.

You'll never know unless you try. :-)

I'd say go for it. But, ... be careful. DD is notorious for being counter-trap country.

    Mr. Don.

Thank you for your prompt response. The frequency of visits is my greatest concern. My sessions are 20 minutes or less, almost always, and I'm acutely aware of a change in repoire from staff, should the crew suddenly give me the cold shoulder.

Given it will be 9+ weeks since the last visit I'll heed your advice.

Mentioned to a pit boss I've established repoire with that I may be returning in january, and he was indifferent in his response.

Wouldn't have considered this had my mailbox not contained a very tempting room offer.

But, I'd rather not get the boot!

Further thoughts? Thank you and happy happy holidays.

Play as little as possible, possibly even stiffing them on how many hours you play (they expect 4 hours a day). As long as you are just in a "regular room" and not a suite or something, you should be okay with minimal play at your $100 - $500 level.

Just don't expect any major league comps, like high $$$ dinners or limos. Just take the room, play your hit and run style, and walk to another casino and beat them up. That's what I do. I still get offers.

Just remember what happened to me. Just because you are geting offers, don't mean you have not been busted.

I won a little less then 25 thousand once and kept on getting offers and I thought all was well. I went back by invitation and they were laying for me. The whole thing was a ploy to get better pictures of me. They allowed me to check in and go to dinner and then when the check came the waiter came over to tell me my comp was cancelled and I was locked out of my room. And here is the kicker.

I HAD NOT EVEN PLAYED THAT DAY.

So as the Don says, you don't know unless you try.

But, i'm just saying it may all be ok, but it can just as easily be NOT ok.

Be concious of what i'm saying.

    Happy cards,

    Hollywood

    Thanks Hollywood.

One question. Is a 9 week break from these 3 places I won, enough time to still look like a high rolling tourist?

That's a good question. But, the way I see it is like this.

Don't forget, they don't have to bust you counting, they need to only suspect you. Once they have the thought, the films dictate the rest.

So I always feel, if you have not been suspected, then that's more then enough time.

The ticket is to move around alot, for some reason those people have incredible memories. Which always amazes me for a bunch of guys that get out of the shower to take a piss.

How I like to do it, is like this. I exclusively play AC. There are only 13 clubs. In the winter I play 1 day a week and in the summer I play 2 to 3 days a week.

So in the winter, they see me about every 10 weeks in each place. (the game in 3 clubs is so bad, it pays to stay away) The place I go to tomorrow, wont see me again until the first or 2nd week in feb.

I don't know the area where you are playing, but try your best to move around.

    Good cards,

    Hollywood

Thanks again Hollywood. Playing in Las Vegas. Plan to visit the same places in late January but will have my radar on.
