Hollywood: A question for John Auston

    Hi John

You have always been so helpful in the past regarding the correct numbers for KO.

I remember going back a few years, I thought I remembered you saying that at in 6 decks, das, doa split 3 times. Under these conditions at -4 which is KO's key count the game is barely neutral.

What I am asking is this.

Using the above conditions and knowing the math as you do.

    1. Should the KO keycount start at a different number?

    2. If so, then when is the first time a 2 unit bet should be made and hitting 16 against dealer 10?

    3. Now, that being said. Should insurance stay at +3 and should pivot remain at +4.?

Or should these 3 plays be adjusted???

    Just curious,

Need to also know if H17 or S17, and what is penetration?

    Hi John:

Pen is 75% 6 decks and DO NOT hit soft 17.

    Thank you,

Actually, if you start IRC at -20, you can bet 3 units at -4. 2 units at -5

The deck is neutral ( no house edge) at about an average of -6 - but that average is not that useful ( see discussion of 16v10 below ). KO is simply not very good at showing you the small edge point. It excells at showing the max bet point. UBZII, on the other hand, is great for showing the start of the 2 unit bet.

See above. And, KO does not have a decent index for 16 v 10. At the start of the shoe, you stand at -20 or better. When one deck is gone, you stand at -16 or better, 2 decks gone -12, 3 decks gone, -8, etc. So if you want one index, what would you pick for average? -10? Nothing really works that well.

I'd use 0 RC for Insurance, Max bet by +2 or +3

Again, IRC is -20 for the above numbers.
