Cacarulo: An answer to an old question
I know that for many of you this is not a secret but perhaps you are not aware about the math behind.
If I had to learn ONE BS chart, what would that strategy be? Should I learn a SD BS which I can then use in multiple decks? or should I learn a MD BS which I can then use in SD?
Let's look at the numbers:
Scenario #1
1D,S17,DOA,DAS,SPA1,SPL3,NS using a 1D BS yields an EV of 0.144066%
1D,S17,DOA,DAS,SPA1,SPL3,NS using a MD BS yields an EV of 0.111922%
By using the incorrect strategy we lose -0.032144%
Scenario #2
8D,S17,DOA,DAS,SPA1,SPL3,NS using a MD BS yields an EV of -0.432478%
8D,S17,DOA,DAS,SPA1,SPL3,NS using a 1D BS yields an EV of -0.481424%
By using the incorrect strategy we lose -0.048946%
Evidently, scenario #1 is better than scenario #2. So we are better off if we learn a MD BS!
Sincerely,
Cacarulo

Which simulator did you use?

I used combinatorial analysis.

I know I won't get any brownie points for this, but I've always known that. :-)
