Of course it should.
So Hollywood does spreads 1:10 in every situation. Wonder how many $$$ I have left behind in the past? [No response neccessary -strictly rhetorical!]

I have no experience with 8 decks. I don't play them ever.
I find the 6 deck game with bad PEN tough enough.
It was always my contention that the only way to beat an 8 deck game was to wong it. I don't wong anything. So I avoid them.
2 things that I do however that you may find interesting is this.
1. I keep a log book of dealers who give good pen. I find they are consistant and lazy to shuffle. I currently have 65 dealers in my book at different hotels.
2. I wear a special watch when I play. It is a watch for handycapped people that vibrates with no sound only sensitive to my wrist and I pre-set it for the amount of time where I know my counting skills get a little run down because i've played to long.
It's a reminder that I need a break before I make a mistake.

I don't know if I said it correctly. Communication is not one of my strong points.
However, I only go to 2 hands in order to get more money out on the table at high counts, but I never do with when I go head to head.

Brick: Losing
One of the reasons you often lose against 8 deck is because you never wong. Wonging is almost mandatory unless you have a huge bankroll.
