Norm Wattenberger: The state of the game
For the fun of it, I took the Trackjack casino data base and created seven XY charts plotting penetration versus Basic Strategy advantage. These charts provide a quick glance at the current state of the game in different geographic areas. Of course it would be more interesting to look at such charts over time. Links to the charts follow:
All U.S. Casinos
All Nevada Casinos
All Mississippi Casinos
Atlantic City
Las Vegas
Reno
California

Which 55% pen game gives the BS player a 0.5% edge off the top?

A suited BJ 2:1 promo can.

How difficult would it be to add a quantitative feature to the charts? Perhaps a color code to indicate how many tables/games are available of a particular game-state would do the trick.

That's normally done with the size of the circle marking each data point. I tried it with size and with color. There are too many points when displaying the country as a whole or Nevada. Might work if the application of the points is sorted by number of tables. I'd have to play with it.
