    Hollywood: Here's a cute one.

I'm sitting in an AC casino last night in the Pit. Just 2 players, me at shortstop and a guy at 2nd base. The cards are dealth out of the shoe. And the dealer has a queen showing and the guy to the right splits a pair of 8's. I'm pat at 19.
On his first 8 he gets a 3 for 11 and doubles and gets a 10 for 21. 2nd hand he gets a 9 for a 17 total. When the dealer turns over her hole card, it's an ace. She says "woops sorry". In AC they have the peekaboo and she forgot to look. So she turns over her blackjack gives him back the hand with all the activity and takes his money on his 17, and my money as well.
Now she goes and deals the next hand and he gets a 15 and she has a 10 showing. He stops the game and calls the pit boss over and says he is not accepting the 15. Because, had she not accidently done what she did that would not have been the case. He had a $500.00 hand up.
Can you believe the guy got away with it. I was sitting with 13 so I didn't care. The guy got them to deal us a new hand.
I thought that was pretty cool. I lost the next hand anyway. But, he won his $500.00 bet.

Just thought I would share it

Remarkable. So if he loses the next hand after that, can he still try the same argument?

That's funny Norm. But, you want to hear one better. The pit boss didn't even blink. This was done without hesitation.

But, here is the ultimate in stories.

I was sitting at a table 3 weeks ago with a guy playing 2 hands of $10,000.00 per hand. 20K every time the cards are dealth. Midweek, and the pit is very quiet.
They are really sucking up to the guy in a very very big way. His casino host is sitting 3 feet from him and don't leave his side.
The guy is up around 140 thousand, which when you think about it, it's only 7 units.
The guy in a strong accent says "I'M HUNGRY" the host jumps out of his chair (sucking up almost to the point where i'm a bit ashamed for him) and says where would you like to eat. Ready for this Norm. The guy says "right here". He asks me if I would like to eat, and what I would like (I don't know this guy from a hole in the wall) I figure what the hell I said "nothing in particular, i'll have whatever you're having". He says something to his host and within 20 minutes a group of buttlers come to the high roller pit and SET the roulette table. They transformed the pit into a restaurant and brought down 20 different kinds of food. We stopped the BJ game IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOE, sat down at the roulette table and were served hand over foot. I gotta tell you Norm, i'm not an easy guy to impress, but that was pretty damm exciting. Anyway I thought you would enjoy the story.

PS When we finished eating, I forgot the count. I played out the rest of the shoe BS. When I left my new friend, he was down a little over 200K.

Very funny story! I'll never forget the first time I saw a guy eating a ham sandwich at the table in Puerto Rico (Condado Plaza). It's considered routine to eat at the tables down there, but it looked really funny to me.
