I’m not quite that old yet. It’s Gandhi. But, a quickie about the Dali Lama. Smith and Wollensky is three blocks from here. One morning, I was walking down 49^th, across the street from S&W. Glanced over and saw the Dali Lama walking by S&W. Preacher of vegetarianism strolling by an institution that worships meat. Perfect juxtaposition. Alas, no camera. Well, not quite perfect. Turns out the Dali Lama is only a vegetarian every other day, and has a fondness for veal.

And on that note, thread closed.
