In Knock-Out Blackjack, the chapter on proportional betting suggests that, for example, in a 2 deck game with a running count of 0, +1, +2, +3 and +4 we bet: 1 (the table minimum), 2, 3, 4 and 5 units respectively. What if i changed this to betting 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 respectively and 2 hands of 6 beyond the pivot point? Would this be unwise money management or would i earn more since i really take advantage of plus counts to max my wagers.

Assuming H17, DAS, an 8:1 spread (if you can get away with it) and a $4,000 bankroll, the following table provides the optimal $ bet at each TC for various penetrations. The penetrations (26 through 52) are cards behind the cut card. Risk of Ruin, Win Rate in units and DI are also shown.
