98%: Request for opinion from Don:
Don,
Have you had an opportunity to read 'The Bear Stearns North American Gaming Almanac'? If so, what is your opinion as both an expert in the investment world and as an (I presume) enthusiastic reader of (good) gaming literature? If not, perhaps you have something to say on the matter anyway?
Thanks.

Very sorry, but I haven't read the book. Must be brand new.

I'm wearing my Don hat at the moment.
For investment purposes, the Almanac is good for background only. Gaming is changing so fast that everything in the Almanac is already dated. For instance, the Almanac speculates about the future of dockside gaming in Indiana. Since publication, the State legislature has passed dockside gaming. New casinos are opening all the time, and buyouts are occurring all the time.
The best feature of the Almanac is its directory of casinos (mailing addresses, phone numbers, web sites). This can be found in other cheaper sources.
