    Wizard: Playing Tired

I have been reading some of the posts and although I thought I would post my two cents. I have often been in situations where it seems that when I lose I lose all at once and when I win I seem to hit a wall of units (say 20) that I seem not to be able to pass.
One can always refer to the math to justify such things although I would like to emphasize the faluts of playing tired or betting not in conjunction with a plan. One may think one is playing correctly when in reality one is playing tired and making foolist decisions. This factor can acutally be quantified, this field of study is not associated with the field of blackjack and it does exist. Ones ability (or probability of win) to win can be determined by this factor.

I addressed this question a while back. Since then I have done something you may want to consider. I have shortened my sessions.
Ironically enough, my children purchased a watch for me (naturally with my money that I am able to set before I begin playing. I have determined that I play X amount of hours before I start losing my concentration. So anyway, I preset the watch and it vibrates. At that time i'm able to know that it's getting close to where I need a rest so I can be more effective.
I believe very strongly in what you are saying about being tired. In Blackjack, counting mistakes can be very expensive. We may forget to put the indices in place where they should be etc. Anyway I thought enough of this to do something about it.
It also helps me with another problem I was having regarding keeping my sessions to long.
This may or may not help you, but that's why we share information in here so we can deduce what works for us.

    Good luck,

This time period should be measured in minutes, not hours. If you're playing "hours" at the same casino, you're already making a fundamental mistake.

Dons absolutely right, in fact I have witnessed pro's who play only one shoe then leave, thats that. I beleive in the Hit and Run philosophy. Hit em hard and fast then run like hell. Besides do you ever notice how many times you get good cards when you just sit down and start to play?

I wholeheartedly agree, and have posted this advice many times before. Your sessions should not be longer than an hour, after which you take a break. Move to a different pit, a different casino, or, at the very least, ask for a clear chip to mark your spot and go take a 10-minute walk. Such an approach will provide some mental refreshment and, if you do move to a different casino (or, to a lesser extent, a different pit), have the added benefit of making your play more difficult to track.
