Hollywood: Here's a cute story. My first.

I'm in AC last night playing in Pit. I'm at 3rd base, there is one other player sitting at 2nd base.

Anyway, the guy is drinking pretty heavy and playing for big bucks. It turns out he spills a full glass of wine all over the table. It gets to the cards the chips. A real mess. I move to the next table (it had one guy playing head to head) because they closed the table down with the mess (the drunk follows me)

I now have to wait a long time for the shoe to be over (it just started and it's no mid shoe) and also for the shuffle. But, finally they begin and right in the first few hands the best thing happened.

The count goes nuts. The guy who was playing alone decides to get up and leave. (I guess he wanted to play alone) which leaves me and the drunk. He don't even know what state he is in, let alone what the count is. So because he lost 3 hands in a row, he asks for a shuffle. The pit says the only way we can shuffle is if everyone agrees. Guess what? Everyone is me. I'm in a great situation here and i'm not looking to shuffle. So I say, listen "I had to leave the other table because you spilled the wine then I had to wait here while the shoe was over and they shuffled, to tell you the truth I don't want them to shuffle. I'm tired of waiting. I came here to play" So we continue playing and he losses the next 4 hands in a row regardless of the count. On the fifth hand they give him a 8 and a 2 against a dealers 7. So he doubles and loses. At this time without me even realizing what was happening he threw a punch at me and glazed the side of my head (all while he is cursing me about not shuffling) and then he fell over. I couldn't believe it. Within what seemed like seconds security was all over the place. He was having trouble getting up. One security guy asked me why I hit him. The pit boss jumped in fast to explain what happened.
Naturally after he was gone it was the talk of the pit for the next next hour.
Just another BJ story to add to my experiences.
By the way Don, you never wrote anything in BJ attack on what I should do in life threatening situations.

PS Is that what you meant when you titled that book? This sport is getting dangerous.

That was an entertaining story and all but you may want to be a little careful about posting with such detail so soon after an event. If I were you, I'd see about removing that post and the rest of this thread. I know that casino types have been booted off of this forum before but it is quite likely that some have remained, unnoticed and lurking.
