Hollywood: Risk of ruin question. HELP
Somebody just asked me this question, and I was not certain of the answer.
$100.00 minimum bet. $1000.00 maximum bet. 6 deck game. DOA, Split up to 3 times, DAS. Dealer stands on soft 17. No resplit of aces.
This person never plays more then one hand.
The question to me is how big should his bankroll be? I was not sure, so i'm throwing it out in the room.
Thanks,
Hollywood

What's the penetration of the game, and what risk of ruin does he want to accept?

Thank you for getting back to me Don. Pen is 75% and $50,000.00 is what he is willing to lose.

G Man: Re: Risk of ruin question. HELP
In a play all situation, using Hi-Lo and the fab.18, with the following bet ramp, $100 at +1 or less, $200 at +2, $400 at +3, $800 at +4 and $1000 at +5 or more, with a $50 000 bankroll your friend has 28.5% chances of tapping out!
Using some camo in actual play, I don`t even want to look at the numbers!
Reducing his betting level to $50-$500 and leaving the table at any minus 2 or less would reduce his RoR to 3% with a $65.50 EV per 100 hands.
