Kasey: Low-roller single deck spread question
I'm a recreational counter who uses KO and plays $5 tables.
I've been running some simulations with Deep Net Technologies Blackjack Audit product, and it looks to me like I can have a lot of fun at single deck games just by betting $5 off the top and $15 at pivot.
My question is, will betting like this attract any attention? I'm not big on confrontation during what is supposed to be a vacation.
I have watched the way other people bet at the $5 tables, and I can't believe anyone would even notice a two level betting scheme like this, but I thought I would ask the guys in the know.
Thanks.

Depends on where you play. There are actually places that would, indeed, throw you out for betting like that. Others wouldn't even give you a second look. Instead of jumping from $5 to $15, it might look better if you had an intermediate bet of $10 along the way to the pivot.

I've seen gamblers jump thier bets all over the place (much wider than 1 to 4)on single deck games. It just amazes me that 1 to 4 spread is noticed at all.

It's noticed, eventually, in card counters. You have to understand that, sooner or later, counters raise their bets in unison with the count; gamblers don't (and least not methodically). And that's what gets noticed after a while.
