Jake {|:>): replacements
It would seem that the time is opportune for RGE21 to open free moderated North, East South West and Las Vegas pages.

Look shortly for an invitation, on the Open BJ Forum, to cast your vote for which new free pages you'd like to see added to rge21.

Cyrus: Re: moderated
A somewhat irrelevant, and purely academic question to Don :
Jake mentions "moderated pages" and someone posted on BJ21.com that you double as moderator in all the free pages of RGE21.com. Meaning that you are authorised to bust posts, etc. I wonder if that is correct and, if it is, how you go about posts there made by people who are unwelcome in the Domain.

It is correct.

There is more latitude for posting on the Free pages than there is in Don's Domain, where my "Statement of Policies" clearly spells out my philosophy -- like it or not.
The Red pages will be more tolerant than DD, but incredibly less tolerant than the current setup on Wong's Free pages. In short, certain individuals will be given a VERY short leash on the Open Forum, whereas those same individuals would have no posting privileges at all on DD.
And, as is always the case at rge, the site is semi-moderated, meaning you can't quite begin posting from day one, without prior approval.

Jake {|:>): Red page success
I think it is important that the 'red pages' include a new player or 'just learning' page.
Providing a means of self-segregating the repetitious but necessary newbie questions would go a long way making a set of 'geographic' based pages more friendly for the experienced players.
The geographic taxonomy has worked well on the bj21 site to promote local interest groups, a major reason it has grown so much.
Marketing 101 would also suggest that you need to get 'opinion leaders' like you, Mathprof, DD' Mathboy etc. to post on the new pages if you want to capture market share.

Yes, I agree, and suggested this to Viktor in a recent phone conversation.

Well, I've always been there, on every newbie board, so I'll be on this one, too. It would be great if the guys you mentioned would join us, too.
