    jblaze: and...

If you ask when their '24 hour period' is over (to buy in again), they also 'don't know'. I just don't understand why this is their policy in the day and age of identity theft paranoia. They make it a selling point to be a high-roller casino and with such a low limit before asking for SSN, they are basically saying we need your SSN for you to play here.

Still they offer a great game. Only ways around it that I can think of are 1. give a fake SSN (not sure to what extent they verify), 2. have other people buy chips, 3. sequentially buy chips (though this ties up your bankroll).

they dont verify. just ask you to write it down. i think all the "high rollers" that play for big money (thousand or more a hand) have no clue for the most part how to play anything anyways, so they dont care or think twice about it. they just have a boat load of money to blow. i think its very rare that a player with money and any brains at all can play anonymously anymore, which defeats what vegas or any other spot is supposed to be all about. just like the glorified rent a cop tsa wannabes at the airport--everybody has to know everything about you nowadays: dont get me started...

Last time I played there, their DD was 100 min. S17. normal pen. Have conditions changed recently?
I remember being asked for the SS back then. I refused. They said I couldn't play anymore. I left. That was 4 years ago. Never stepped foot since.

IMO, there are plenty of other big boy casinos that can handle action without getting hassled, such as his previous dig, the Bellagio.

pen is like 55-60%; nothing to write home about. much better places in vegas at 70-75%. s17 is only in high limit, and usually 500 min, and usually always empty. it would be nice if someone who does/did watch from the eye at some point anywhere would chime in on what they really look for/tolerate, and if player paranoia over this is overrated, and why do casinos care so much about one game when they make so much more from every other game.

also, if u ask a dealer/boss why SD only pays 6:5 everywhere now, they usually reply "because people can count cards." so, i wonder does that mean its okay to DO it, and chip up accordingly with no heat, while you and the casino know your occasional bj will pay out crappy?
