Pastor Glen: Incredible Hotel Deal
I recently went online to hotel.com and booked a Pavilian Room at the EL Cortez for only $5.00 a night. Yes, thats right, just $20 for all four nights. The dates were August 10th (Monday) thru August 13th (Thursday). Granted, the hotel is not in the most ideal location, but the SD and DD games is probably the best in town. The pen is varies around 60% or so. Most of the games are dealt from a shoe (the heat probably doesn't trust the Asian women dealers).Warning: If you have a weakness for Asain women don't go there. Almost all of them are really very attractive and speak very little English. Probably just right off the boat (or plane).

Parker: Not suprising
Midweek rates in the summer in Las Vegas have historically been dirt cheap. Add in the current economic meltdown and you have a recipe for some real bargains.
There are several major strip properties currently offering midweek rates in the $50 range, and a room at just about any downtown joint (except the Golden Nugget) can be found for $20 or so. So what is a low-end place like the El Cortez to do?
Even the top tier properties (Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian) will give you a chance to experience luxury at a relatively cheap price of around $150 per night. These are rooms that used to go for $400 or more.
And of course, if you have any sort of playing history at a particular property, a comped midweek room can usually be had for the asking.

Felix Rue-de-Guerre: Even better
I plugged a week-long stay into travelaxe for the middle of August. NY-NY is coming back as $5.45 a night via the hotel website, and that's a four-star joint!
