Most of the major strip casinos (MGM Grand, Mirage, Wynn, etc.) still offer S17 6 deck shoe games, if you can handle a minimum bet that is usually $25 or more, sometimes higher on weekends. It is possible to find S17 games at lower mins if you don't mind playing at odd hours and/or doing a little legwork.

Atlantic City is almost exclusively S17. Other parts of the country vary widely by region.

There are over a dozen strip or near strip (Hilton, San Remo) casinos that offer S-17, 6 deck shoes. I have found that for instance the MGM will have $10 tables weekdays, some weekday nights and often even on weekends when nothing special is going on there. Wynn can be found for $15 most often and same for Mandalay Bay. Many others at $25 but if you give up late surrender the San Remo still has a $5 game as of October.
Get a fight weekend or a big holiday like New Years and higher limits are the rule.

Remember that the San Remo closes January 2nd, and will soon be a Hooters Casino and Hotel, so don't have any expectations for the new year (opens 2/6 to the public). I'm sure that there will be plenty of variety, though. They are a kind of "everyman" place, aren't they? As well, their site promises 1-, 2-, and 6-deck games "with plenty of options,' or something like that. Lets hope that means limits and rules.

The site has a funny little thing on it in the corner labelled "In case of wife | boss." If you click on "wife," it takes you to the Tiffany & Co. website. Click on "boss," and you get some page on "Employee Improvement Journal," with an "article" on how reducing your salary is good for your company. Problem with that link is that the URL is "http://www.originalhooters.com/bosspage.asp," so you have to hope your boss doesn't pay too much attention!

I've never been to a Hooters, but they seem to have a pretty good sense of humor about themselves. Their current marketing tagline is "The Cure for the Common Casino," their blackjack games include some kind of "perfect pair" bonus, and their "blog" is pretty funny, too. Nice to see a casino not take itself so seriously, even if it is just for marketing purposes.

What about resplit aces and ls?

Resplitting aces and late surrender are fairly common in the aforementioned Las Vegas shoe games, but unheard of (except in a few high limit rooms) in Atlantic City.

Did I mention that you can find out detailed current conditions with a subscription to TrackJack? :-)

Just played with RSA at Wynn, Mandalay, and MGM. Plus I believe you will find it at Caesars and the Hilton also.

As a sidenote: I got 7 straight aces followed by a 5. Luckily it was 4 minimum bets that I lost. Definately time for a restroom, cell phone, or any kind of break.

I do not know about Mandalay Bay, but MGM I think does not have a DD game.
I have played at Wynn when I found the minimum at $50. Good game, but I took it for granted that it was a counter trap and played only a very short session. I returned two months later and played another short session, but it was heads up with a pit type doing nothing but watching. Played 20 minutes, talked with the pit continuously and left with a nice size win. It is a good game but I would suggest short sessions.

Oh thanks. For me I need a $25 minimum because w/ a 1-6 spread then that's the max I should play at. If I could top my bet at 300 then it should be ok but then my trip br would have to be at least 9k for 2 days. When I go i'll play at VC, Plaza, Suncoast, Slots o fun, maybe the Mirage if I have a big win. I don't think 60% pen in dd is better than 80-90% shoe w/ls+ resplit aces. I think 10k is safe for the $50 game for 2 days, it's only going to be a couple hours anyway.

My uncle played the DD game at Wynn at a $25 minimum the week before Christmas when Vegas is very dead. You might try it at 4:00 AM some morning but they also might close the whole pit.

Thanks, I know somebody that just came back from another board. Do you prefer pitch(60%dd) or shoe (6 deck w. 75%-80% pen ls). I think the 2 deck would be better if it was 65% and you could wong the game. I heard they have mid shoe entry at the Wynn dd. Can u wong it if the limits are too high?
