From today's LVRJ:

Station Casinos has announced a major revamp of their Jumbo Jackpot program. Beginning today, the eight individual progressives (at the six Station Casinos, as well as the two Fiestas ) have been consolidated into a single progressive that will start at $100,000 (rather than the previous $50,000) and similar to the current program, must be paid to a very lucky player using their slot club card (Boarding Pass, Amigo Card) before it reaches $150,000. However, to kick off the promotion, Station Casinos will use the largest property jackpot amount as the beginning balance (which at press time is the $136,000-plus at Fiesta Henderson ), so there is a good chance that it could hit this weekend.

But there's more. At the time the Jumbo Jackpot is hit (and no matter what casino it is hit at) everyone playing with their slot club card at one of the 17,500 machines located in the eight participating casinos will win an instant $50 in slot play. That should make for a valleywide celebration. How often this will happen depends on the setup of the program ? which since its launch in April 2003 has paid 137 club cardholders a total of $9.7 million.
