    bill: cash out, ID

The last day of your LV trip, you play in a major
strip casino. You finish the session, go to the cage and wait in the line, to cash out $ 2500. Behind the "regular" worker in the cage, something like a "boss" is standing and waiting. All the people in front of you, easy cash out. When you are now first in the line, the "boss" is speaking over the shoulder of the cash out worker:"If you want to cash out, I must see your ID", what do you do??
This story is true, and every AP must be prepared for this situation.

    bfbagain: Where

And yes, every AP is prepared I'm guessing. It's unlikely they'll ask for ID for that amount if you played with a players card. Did you?

I know you said Strip, but the LV Hilton has cage policies right around that figure. Was it the Hilton?

And really, I'm assuming you (gave in?) provided ID to get your money. If so, what's the secret behind not saying where this happened? This happens more frequently these days, and although I don't expect you now to disclose where this was, as you don't want your name and handle to be associated with one another through the internet, you could have provided the same info, and disclosed where it happened without risk to your identity.

The last statement was for informative purposes, not a criticism per se, but you can do better in the future. :-) Or in other words, what's the point? It's where this happened that's important, no?

    cheers

It was not the Hilton, but one of the really big joints on the strip.I was not playing with player card. So, what is do do in this situation?? May be the answer can only be: show your ID or keep the chips for the future

    bfbagain: Say No.

That's it. I have simply said I don't need to show ID for this amount.

They have of course, paid me. They can make it more difficult, but it's a borderline call for that low amount. They were bluffing. You can always go back on a different shift and cash out for less and do it multiple times if necessary.

    cheers
