Bettie: Fiesta Henderson Changes

Gang,

I've heard from an EXTREMELY reliable source (read: upper-level management) that the Fiesta Henderson will be undergoing some pretty exciting changes this year.

First off, expect some construction as a parking garage is built and the casino expands in the sports book area. The expansion will include a larger sports book with a race book added, some restrooms in that area of the casino (finally!), and a designated poker room. Some new machines will be added, but overall the casino is trying to widen the aisles between machines, so the expansion will help in that regard.

Second, the Fiesta will be building an ice arena, which I think will be a lot of fun. The arena at Santa Fe was moved to Fiesta Rancho, so it looks like the Stations are designating the Fiestas for fun on the ice and the Stations for movie theatre and bowling entertainment (Strike Zone at Sunset should be open next month, I hear).

They all sound like great improvements to me, and I'm very excited for Fiesta (and for the ice arena that I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time at ? on my butt!)
