    SpiderMan: LV DD

As the majority of SDs are 6:5, are there any DD's that offer 3:2 for low stakes players?

the best you're really gonna do is double deck @ the Palms or Hard Rock for quarters... sometimes Palms has a $15 double deck.

You can find other DD games for less (like the imperial palace nickel DD table) but pen is an awful .5, and usually you give up things like surrender, DAS, etc...

check TrackJack for exact table conditions, but that's pretty much a rule of thumb. for nickel bettors, finding a decent shoe w/ good rules & penetration is a better bet so you don't risk losing your bankroll to that old devil Variance!

There are plenty of playable double deck games in Las Vegas, some with minimums as low as $2. The trick is, you won't find them in the big casinos on the strip, where $25 or higher mins are the norm.

Head downtown and/or hit the off-strip locals joints (Stations, Fiestas, Coasts, etc.). It may take considerable legwork to find a game with acceptable pen, but they're out there. Keep your sessions short, as some of these places can be a little sweaty, even for red chip bettors.

For the sub-$5 mins, consider the locals joints in North Las Vegas. Warning: major sleaze alert. If you're uncomfortable at the El Cortez or Western, best avoid these places. Be prepared for a toxic atmosphere and rubbing elbows with people whose personal hygiene may leave something to be desired.

I just got back from Vegas, and checked out the game at the Plaza downtown. 2 deck, $5.00 min., hot dealer, got my clock cleaned. Lost $100 in about 15 minutes. I'm sure anyone with any intellegence could have done much better, but downtown is definately the place to go for good BJ games.

    Good Luck.

Most DD games in Vegas for red chip players ($5 minimum) are typcially H17, DAS with the shuffle card set at 60-65 cards. A few may offer RSA too. As suggested by others, you will find those games in the downtown area (Freemont Street) or at the non-strip areas. Here are a couple of places currently offering an even better game:

Plaza - downtown has a $5 minimum with S17, DAS with shuffle card set at 70 to 75 cards. If you are suspect though, the card will be set at 52. (You should also check out the nearby Las Vegas Club).

Suncoast - on west side of town, has $5 minimum H17 DAS with shuffle card at 75 cards, and here too if you are suspected, then will be put to 52. (It happened to me once there, and I left promptly. When I returned a couple of months later, back to 75.)

These properties are in safe neighborhoods, clean inside, and the clientel do not appear to have long arrest records. Best playing conditions are from dawn to about noon, as after that they crowd up. And naturally, weekdays are less crowded than weekends.

None of the above tips are state secrets by the way.

Best to subscribe to Trackjack. Or if in Vegas, stop by the Gamblers Book Club and buy a single copy of CBJN for $15. Also, at the Book Club you can buy just about any book on Blackjack that is in print. One other source of info on games offered is at www.skister.com/bj

To get to those places it would be best if you had a car and a road map of Vegas, as taxi fares can really add up quick. You can rent a small car from one of the rental outfits for about $30/day if you don't drive you own to get there. If you belong to the auto club you can get free street maps of South & North Las Vegas.

As you can guess, I have fun scouting games offered--it makes an excuse for me to go sightseeing at the casinos around Vegas and thereabouts.

    Good luck!
