    In what would be a marriage of gaming industry titans, MGM Mirage announced late Friday that it has offered to buy Mandalay Resort Group for $7.65 billion.

    Negotiations to create the world's largest gambling company came to a standstill Thursday after MGM Mirage Inc. declined to raise its $7.65 billion offer to buy Mandalay Resort Group, according to a person close to the talks.

    So, in the news this morning, it looks like the deal will go through. I am against magna-mergers in general, having been laid off as the result of a few, but I would like to get your take on this.
