college kid: This is a good cahnce for the Bellagio to...
take up a WSOP rip-off in the spring season as I'm sure many will boycott the WSOP if Harrah's is running it. Bobby Baldwin should take this oppertunity, IMHO. I know you all don't think much of me on the site here but even us enthusiasts have a place in our heart for what the Shoe represented. Sad, sad days.

And what, exactly, did the Shoe represent? An industry where hole-carders should be nearly beaten to death in the back room (happened at the Shoe)? An industry where a casino owner can KILL a drunk (happened at the Shoe)? An industry where casino owners can try to scam-win their own progressive jackpots (the Shoe)? An industry where the big-wigs are people who made their initial fortunes through illegal enterprises like running guns and alcohol?
The Shoe was a run-down burn joint. By the way, they sweated the money. The Shoe long ago lost its ability to take action well, if they ever had such ability.

Don't feel put down by Mr Morgan's earlier response. It is the only way he knows how to communicate.

Thanks, much apprecaited. And well I obviously am not keen on all the mob related and in general bad things Binion and many others from Vegas have undoubtedly participated in, I still believe the Shoe is and was something to be remembered and honored (yes, I said honored), good and bad. Again, thanks for the friendly welcome.
