Good news. But, the perpetrators should go to prison.

John Wesley Powell: A tale of security or I need red meat for my eye

Screwed up the 1st post. Here it is, security officers in hotels come in three catagories:
    1. Retired peace officer; Gaming, Metro, Military, etc. These guys bring their own baggage with them.
    2. Guys & Girls who tried to, attempted to take these tests for a peace officer position, and couldn't cut it for any numbers of reasons. To stupid, to fat, to weak, to strong, sociopathic disorders (I'm trying to be nice here).
    3. This last bunch is the worst. They have been unable for so many different reasons to obtain any employment that would put them in position of authority (even the noble title of prison guard eludes them). But they are found to be perfect casino goons. Guys like these are the first to start a bar fight for no other reason than somebody stole their beer nuts. They are socially inept, ill trained by the casino that hires them, not big on people skills, some are just walking around waiting to lose that last screw holding everything together.
So until more cases are brought to the front page and people start to feel it in the wallet,
    "The Beat[ing] Goes On".
    4. Remeber this you can only be detained if you have been suspected of committing a felony...for the purposes of contacting a peace officer. So if no felony, DO NOT fight them, just continue to walk away toward the nearest exit, calmly & peaceably. If they grab you, take you down and hand cuff you DO NOT resist them, make no sudden moves with your hands or body. By law when Casino Security has detained someone they must notify a peace officer, Gaming, Metro, Highway Patrol, etc. If you've put up any struggle during this time you will be arrested for assault & battery on a security officer. If you have anymore questions you can e-mail.
Bottom line, know your audience (security) and play them that way.

    Norm Wattenberger: Agree absolutely. But

My argument is not with the casino guards. They will eventually end up in prison for beating up their girlfriends or killing someone in a fight over a football game. My argument is with the police that participate in the invention of a crime and the prosecutors that bring a case to trial even after viewing recorded evidence and interviewing witnesses showing that no such crime took place. And, inaction by the DA when wrong-doing by the Police is discovered. These are crimes of the State and deserve heavy punishment.

bigplayer: I gotta disagree a little

Once the casino gets you to the backroom they will go through your wallet and find out who you actually are...possibly also finding stuff you don't want them to find.

I say raise a stink...ask them if you are being arrested. Ask them who is going to take responsibility for false arrest. Tell them you want to see the casino manager immediately. Without being provacative I'd force them to use as much force as possible to get me to the backroom. The more force they use the bigger the settlement you will achieve. Holler and scream but don't do anything physically provacative.
