Bettie: Harrah's Buys Binion's Boats
I posted this on the Heartland page, where it rightfully belongs, but there's a reason I post it here, too.
An excerpt:
Harrah's Entertainment executives signed a $1.45 billion deal for Harrah's to buy his Horseshoe Gaming Holding Corp. and its three riverboat casinos. The deal carries the biggest price for the sale of a privately held casino company and also would mark the third-biggest casino company sale ever. Harrah's plans to keep all three properties and operate them under the Horseshoe brand. Existing Harrah's-branded or owned casinos could also be switched to the powerful Horseshoe brand.

However, Jack just moved his corporate headquarters to Las Vegas. Wonder why? And Jack is going to be in a good position cash-wise, to say the least.
I can see a couple of ways that this scenario could play out. Stay tuned.

Dog Hand: Does this end by back-off?
A few months ago, I was backed off at a Horseshoe boat, or, to put it more poetically, I was pinioned by Binion's minions.
My question is this: since Binion sold the boats, does this mean that I can once again play there? Or, since most of the workers will keep their jobs (including, presumably, the PC who "clipped my wings"), will I still have to avoid playing there?

The article said if he had known the deal was going down that fast, he would not have spent the money to move. At least that's what he said.
Also, dosen't he live there?
