    Hal Jordan: Scouting Vegas

I recently took a trip to Vegas and had fairly good success playing the downtown area. I am planning another trip for the upcoming month and I would like opinions on the best places to play SD and DD in the Vegas area. I stayed around downtown the most because of the easy proximity. Are there better areas for my play. I will be playing a trip stake of about $2,500. I plan to play between twenty and twenty-five hours. Your opinions are appreciated.

    As of last weekend.
Best Single deck is at the Horseshoe, Las Vegas Club, Four Queens, and Lady Luck. Four Queens has 1 table which is generally crowded. Lady Luck has 1 SD table (that I saw), not crowded, $10 min.. Horseshoe sweatiness is increasing. Western and El Cortez also have single deck with lots of heat. Stardust has a decent double deck game ($10 min). Avoid the Golden Nugget single deck, it's 6/5 BJ.

    Good Luck

    Doc,
Thanks for the info. This seems very close to what I experienced the last time I was out there. Does anyone have any information about the Rancho Strip area? I have heard that there are a couple of good games out that way. Also, is there anywhere else outside of the immediate area that is worth looking into? Thanks.

Others that I have exp. with:

Palms: Dbl deck 65% pen, good strip rules, usually $25 min. Off hours $15. No heat with 7-1 spread.
Mirage: Same as Palms, but I got my ass kicked there, so I have trouble recommending it.
Riviera: Same as Stardust, but fewer tables and crowded.
Suncoast: 25 minute drive from the strip. Locals casino. $5 or $10 min. dbl deck with strip rules (DAS, DOA, RSA, S17)

Don't know anything about the Rancho strip area.
