    riverboat: $1,000,000

What ever happened to the million dollar display in front of the Horseshoe Casio in downtown Vegas?
(100-$10,000 dollar bills) I had a picture of if once but misplaced it.

The problem was that, since $10,00 bills have not been printed in many years, the display was actually worth much more than $1 million. The Horseshoe has been having financial problems ever since the current ownership took over.

About four years ago the current owner of the Horseshoe, Becky Behnen (daughter of Benny Binion), had the display removed, allegedly for "renovation." Later, word leaked out that it had been sold to a collector, reportedly for around $6-$7 million.

    Sad.

Jack has topped his sister by putting another $1M display in Shreveport...it is all $100 bills and takes up one giant wall in the entrance.

Huge, east-facing sign on the HS parking structure still says, "See $1,000,000"
