Actually, Ellis Island is the place with the cheap steak dinner, a nice thick sirloin with a baked potato and veggies for $4.95 anytime. Arizona Charlies has the cheap steak & eggs.

There is only one DD table with mediocre pen that is usually crowded. Still, it is possible to find a playable game there at times, and it is one of the few places on the strip (or at least close to it) where you may find a $5 DD game.

There is also a microbrewery on the premises, which produces some decent microbrews, not to mention great microbrewed root beer (a personal favorite).

Ellis Island has both a steak dinner and a steak and eggs graveyard special. When my bankroll was much smaller and their special was just $1.95, I derived much of my daily sustenance from Ellis Island. They have other graveyard specials as well, but I think they have upped the prices on all of them in recent months, maybe by a buck or so. Of course, if you can't hustle a comp in Ellis Island, you've got a lot to learn. In my youth, I paid the outrageous $1.95 for the special but now I always score food there for free.

As for AZ Charlie's having _the_ cheap steak and eggs, that's true, but so do about a dozen other places around town.

True. What sets Charlie's apart from most of the others is that the steak & eggs special is available 24/7.
