Bettie: Neonopolis problems

One of the anchors at Neonopolis has lost $100,000 in the last two months - that's $9,000 a week! This doesn't look good. I wonder if this is also to be the fate of the upscale outlet mall they've started building downtown? Considering how hard the city is working to revitalize downtown, I certaunly hope it picks up!

LV Mayor Oscar Goodman regarding a potential fate of who leaked the story of the Neonopolis' struggles to the media:

"If I found out that whoever leaked it works on the 10th floor (of City Hall), they would be on the first floor, and they wouldn't take the elevator," Goodman said.

I don't think he's talking about the stairs either :P

Mr. Goodman was on one of our local radio stations [Midwest] being the good ambassador for LV that he should be.

He was exhorting folks to still come to LV -his main point was not to be worried about the new legislation regarding strip joints. He was emphasizing that LV was still as touchy/feely as ever!
