Bettie: New LV Strip Club Laws

Well, some old biddy who's tired of everyone else in Vegas but her gettin' some raised a ruckus a while back about the pornography that occurs in strip clubs and tried to ban strippers from touching the customers in any way, shape, or form. Thankfully, there was some compromise, but some clubs are going to be hurting from these new rules, below.

    The new rules:

? Allow dancers to grind their anus, genitals and pubic area against a customer's leg, as long as they do not come in contact with the customer's feet. [The feet? That's a very strange provision.]

? Allow dancers to touch customers' buttocks.

? Prohibit any contact between a female dancer's breasts and any part of a customer's body. [BOO!]

? Ban the practice of customers placing bills in dancers' G-strings. [So now you have to hand it to them - boring!]

? Allow dancers to simulate sex acts such as intercourse, masturbation and oral sex. [They can pretend to perform oral sex on you but you can't slip the money in their g-string? Strange.]

? Prohibit dancers from simulating bestiality or sadomasochistic abuse. [This one is actually okay by me.]

? Require that private dances in "VIP" areas be directly visible or visible via electronic monitoring should police officers visit the club.

? Prohibit clubs that serve alcohol from employing anyone under 21 years old. [Forcing them to go the all-nude juice bars. They can't be around alcohol, but they can show their privates to the world.]

Now, these rules affect those clubs only in UNincorporated LV, so Cheetah's and Olympic Gardens are not affected but Club Paradise and (gasp!) Jaguar's are. Too bad about Jaguar's - the guy just opens up the biggest strip club in the state and he gets stuck with these rules. I sure hope no one bought any of those $10,000 lifetime VIP passes when they were being offered.

The casino shows are getting naughtier and naughtier, while attempts are made to clean up the strip clubs. May as well open a strip club in the casino next. That way the customers never have to leave the property!

I checked the map I have here at home of the city limits, and it's a close call on Crazy Horse Too. It lies just about underneath Sahara, which is the border of the city limits in that area. It looks like it just squeaked by, as long as it's actually north of Sahara. If it's south of Sahara, it will be affected. The only way to know for sure is to give them a call, I guess. But even people who live here don't always realize that there's a difference between LV and unincorporated LV.

BTW, these rules take effect September 1st.
