jimmtech: CVBJ number of players
Norm, in actual play, I backcount to TC+4 or +5 - the ideal scene is watching a table of younger kids drinking and overbetting their bankroll, and quitting when the count is high and the dealer has been winning with too many pairs of 10s. Enetering a table when someone is leaving seems to draw no heat. In CVBJ, whenever I reduce the number of players, it re-shuffles - is there any way around this?

You can set "Players Come and Go." Then players automatically move in and out. How many times do you actually get a situation where the count goes up to +4 just as player(s) leave?

I actively seek these opportunities out. I wait until at least TC+4, but sometimes its even +6 or higher. It takes 1-2 hrs of watching to find - the best times are evenings and weekends when the casino is crowded with student age kids drinking -
1) the pit suspects nothing as I take an exiting players seat
2) there is no hostility from other players at the table - how can there be? I am just replacing someone..
3) the dealer is happy to have a loud losing player complaining that "the dealer is hot" replaced with someone who actually wants to play.
So I am I in a situation with a pre-made high count, with no heat, no objections, no need for cover, and very little if any bet ramping because I am entering at or near my max bet...
(I will usually already have at least 2 or 3 max bet worth of chips so I can enter seamlessly..)
Sometimes 2 or 3 drinking buddies will all leave at once, leaving all the good cards just for me or to share with only 1 other unsuspecting person..
