Wildcard: Spam ?
My Yahoo bulk account continues to receive spam from "people" with weird names selling drugs like viagra, cialis, etc. This happens on a daily basis, with only 1 email per day. These emails never come to my normal inbox, only to my bulk folder. My action has been to simply delete the email and empty the trash later.
I suspect an email search engine is used to scour Yahoo and when they get a hit it generates the emails that I continue to receive. My email address on Yahoo is very simple (AJRS44), and I cannot simply stop using it as I am well established on eBay and need to continue to use it for ongoing eBay activity.
Is this much ado about nothing and should I just continue to delete as I've been doing? This activity seems to have become more than daily norm in the past 6 months or more.
Thanks for any responses.

Parker: Count your blessings
If you are only averaging one spam a day, and it is ending up in your bulk folder, then you are fortunate indeed.
I get 50 or so per day, and these are the ones that make it past an extensive array of spam filters. Of course, this is from 5 different e-mail addresses, one of which I've had for nearly 10 years.
Spammers use spiders or "bots" which are little programs that scour all areas of the Internet looking for e-mail addresses and reporting them back to the spammers.
The bulk e-mail programs used by spammers to send spam generate random names and addresses to go in the "from" header, so these mean absolutely nothing.

Wildcard: Re: Count your blessings
Thanks for your time to post, I kinda thought it wasn't a big deal, but wanted a little reassurance.
Wow, 50 a day, you must feel loved and needed! :-)
Have a good time Oct 28th, I'm unable to attend, but perhaps next year.
Regards,
WC
